Girls Can't Catch are a British girl group. Their debut single "Keep Your Head Up" entered the UK Singles Chart at number 26. They are currently working on their debut album and released their second single "Echo" on 18 January 2010, debuting at number 19 on the UK Top 40 singles chart.Formation/nThe girls were scouted by their label Polydor and then were asked to be in a new girl band. One member of the group, Phoebe Brown, was previously in a girl group called "Hope" that rose to fame on The X Factor. Hope made into the live shows, but were the seventh act eliminated (fifth place overall)./nJess Stickley was scouted from the Motorokr competition, in which she travelled to New York with a group of other finalists to record with huge names of the industry./nGirls Can't Catch also includes Daizy Agnew of MTV's Urban Base. She was voted winner of the original Hugo Urban Rules in 2006 by US soul legend Jo, UK rapper Sway, and Terri Walker. Daizy went on to work with Colin Emmanual (aka 'C' Swing) and Gerard Logan (aka SoundBwoy) and The 411's Tisha Martin and Tanya Bonyface among others. In 2009, she was invited to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest, recording the original version of "It's My Time" with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diane Warren./nThe group's name was originally offered to The Saturdays, who turned it down, as they wanted a name which didn't contain the word "Girls".2009–present/nThe girls are currently recording their debut album, scheduled for release on 2 June 2010. Pixie Lott has written a song for their album titled "Happy Alone". Shaznay Lewis has also written a song titled "Turn It Up" for their album, and this song may be the third single./nThe group's first notable performance was as the opening act for Girls Aloud on their Out of Control Tour. Their Soft Cell inspired debut single, "Keep Your Head Up", was released 2 August 2009 and entered the UK singles chart at 26. They performed at the iTunes Festival, performing "Keep Your Head Up", "Red" (a Daniel Merriweather cover) and their second single "Echo". "Echo" was originally scheduled for a November release, but was pushed back for unknown reasons, with a new release date of 18 January 2010. The girls have confirmed that they are set to release another two singles before the album including a "big ballad" followed by the album and tour. In November of 2009 they were the opening act in the UK for the Jonas Brothers on European leg of their sold out world tour. In March 2010 the girls headlined National Student Pride in Brighton. The event was also attended by Ronan Keating. It was confirmed that Girls Can't Catch and Mini Viva will take on the program, Ghost Hunting With...
